Dr. Vijay Rupanagudi is Board Certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Internal Medicine.

After receiving his medical degree from the Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, in 1993, Dr. Rupan completed a fellowship in General Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He went on to complete an Internal Medicine residency at the Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn where he also completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. He has been published in numerous medical publications.

Prior to coming to Cookeville, he was an attending physician at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn,NY; Associate Professor of Medicine at St. George’s University School of Medicine; and Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) Down State Medical Center.

He has worked in CRMC from 2010 to 2020 as Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Consultant.
